Offering hot showers, providing an exchange of soiled bedding for clean; a clothing swap; and an offering of personal, menstrual/moontime hygiene, and first-aid kits, clean bathrooms and a legal place to dump household trash and needle disposal, first aid station (foot, wound, and mouth care) at a warm outdoor space offering coffee and tea. Also offering paid work and advocacy opportunities.

HEALTHY STREETS NEEDLE DISPOSAL PROGRAM
Healthy Streets is a program of the Multnomah County Health Department and City of Portland to reduce the number of discarded syringes in downtown Portland. Injection drug users can dispose of used needles/syringes at two secure disposal bins located on Portland's waterfront. A biohazard contractor empties the bins regularly.

The program also includes targeted outreach to injection drug users by Multnomah County health workers, as well as a public awareness campaign.
