OREGON STATE SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as "Summer Meals," provides free, nutritious meals and snacks to help children in low-income areas get the nutrition they need throughout the summer months. SFSP is run by approved sponsors, including school districts, local government agencies, camps, and private nonprofit organizations. Sponsors provide up to 2 free meals per day to a group of children at a central site, such as a school or a community center.

Provides information and eligibility criteria for food programs including SNAP (food stamps), WIC (Women, Infants, & Children), food pantries and summer meal sites, the state-sponsored birth control program (Family Planning Only), health and family planning clinics, developmental screenings, pregnancy and baby supplies, and breastfeeding support.

Also connects parents to support programs, parenting classes, home cisiting programs, ESIT (Early Support for Infants and Toddler), ASQ Screenings and resources for children with special health care needs. Also offers a navigator program to assist with applications for health insurance through Washington Healthplanfinder including Apple Health for Kids (Children's Medicaid), Apple Health for pregnant women (First Steps), Apple Health for adults (Medicaid), and Qualified Health Plans (QHPs). Hotline staff can also determine eligibility for tax credits.
