OREGON SUMMER EBT
Oregon Summer EBT is a new grocery benefits program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer when school is out.
Families will get $120 for each eligible child. A one-time payment will be issued between June and September each summer.

Eligibility: School-aged children are eligible for Summer EBT if:
-The household already receives SNAP, TANF or the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid)
-The child attends a school with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP), and the household income meets the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals or if the child is:
-Enrolled in migrant programs
-Experiencing houselessness
-Participate in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
-Attend Head Start

    INTAKE PROCEDURE: If the household receives SNAP, TANF or the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) this school year (2023-2024), the child(s) will be signed up for the Summer EBT program automatically.

    If a parent or guardian believes their child is eligible for Summer EBT but was not signed up automatically, they can apply. The application will be available on the ODHS website starting June 2024. The application will need the household income and the child’s name, school, date of birth and address.
