Provides minor home and critical safety repairs for homeowners. Staff, volunteers, and subcontractors complete repairs as resources are available. Services may include home assessments, smoke/fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, bathroom safety aids, address housing code violations, yard nuisances, minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Also assists with referrals to other home repair programs.

REFIT REMODELING FOR INDEPENDENCE TOGETHER
REFIT (REMODELING FOR INDEPENDENCE TOGETHER)
Provides home modification services for physically and financially challenged homeowners who wish to remain living independently in their homes. Can provide wheelchair ramps, ADA toilets, showers, grab bars, and widen doorways and other spaces. Anything that makes the home safer for a person with a mobility disability. This program does not do home repairs.

Eligibility: Homeowner must have income below 80% of the Median Family Income and limited mobility. Additionally, assets (not including home and car) cannot exceed $20,000.

No services for mobile homes, trailers, modular homes, apartments, or condominiums.
