Custody and Parenting Time Mediations: Mediation is a confidential process in which parents meet with a professional, court-approved mediator to develop a parenting plan that is in the best interests of the children. The parenting plan includes decision-making (custody); parenting time schedules (including routine parenting time, holiday, and vacation); parental rights and responsibilities; and parental guidelines. Parents must first attend Focus on Children prior to participating in mediation.
Family Check-Up (FCU): A brief, parent-centered, strength-based program. FCU consists of three appointments which include meeting with staff to share family information; working on tasks with the child in a video-recorded session; and participating in a feedback session.
Supervised Parenting Time: Offers parents an opportunity for safe and meaningful contact with their children.
Custody Evaluations: Evaluators meet three times with each parent, once with the children, and other contacts as necessary. Evaluators will prepare custody and parenting time reports and recommendation.
