Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) helps working families pay for child care, including subsidy fees. This means families may pay part of the child care cost, called a copay. EDRC works with partners to help families find quality child care.

The Child Care Reimbursement for Foster Parents and Relative Caregivers is intended to help pay the costs of child care. Certified foster parents and relative caregivers who, due to employment or attending college or other educational progrom, require child care for children placed in their home qualify for the reimbursement. Payments are issued in the form of a reimbursement to the foster parent and can be up to $375 a month per child up to age 12, and older than 12 if there is an identified reason for the need for supervision. The reimbursement may only be used when the children are being served by licensed or approved child care settings. If the provider is a relative or family friend who is not required to be licensed, DHS will need to approve that provider.
