Assists with electric, natural gas, oil, propane, wood pellet, and wood costs. Programs cover customers of all utility companies operating in Lane County, including Springfield Utility Board (SUB), Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB), Emerald People's Utility District (EPUD), NW Natural Gas, Pacific Power, and Lane Electric. Water assistance may be provided in combination with utility assistance for EWEB customers ONLY. The federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and EWEB Customer Care are year-round assistance programs. Households can receive assistance once per program year, per program. Electric assistance to low-income SUB customers begins in November and continues throughout the heating season. The program will pay $175 or $225 depending on eligibility.
