Eligibility:
Low-income households. Need must be deemed an emergency by SVDP,
meaning help is provided only when eviction appears imminent. Rent
must be past due before an appointment will be made. May be asked
to provide proof of ability to pay remaining portion of rent before
receiving any assistance. Must not have received financial
assistance from SVDP in the past 12-14 months.

COVID-19 INFORMATION:
Due to Covid-19, limited public access. No drop ins. Visitors must
make an appointment by phone only. No email or online applications
accepted.
INTAKE PROCEDURE:
Call for appointment. Access to building is by appointment only.
Appointments are limited, and not all callers will get through. An
interview or appointment does not guarantee assistance. Application
voicemails or emails to other SVDP contacts will not be returned.
SVDP will verify tenancy, lease amounts, and other information
directly with the landlord or property owner before providing aid.

DOCUMENTS:
Photo ID, late rent notice of no more than 10 days, lease agreement
landlord information (name, address, phone), proof of ability to
pay remainder of rent (such as a money order made out to landlord;
checks and cash are not accepted as proof)
