AARP EXPERIENCE CORPS
AARP Experience Corps is an intergenerational mentoring and tutoring program. Volunteers are placed in Kindergarten-3rd grade classrooms at local elementary schools to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring and mentoring and academic support. Volunteers generally volunteer 4-10 hours per week. Comprehensive training and ongoing support is offered to those volunteering. Some stipends available.

Eligibility: US citizens age 50 and older with high school diploma or GED. Must be able to pass state, criminal, and FBI background checks.

DOCUMENTS: Completed volunteer application, criminal background check form, FBI fingerprinting, and National Sex Offender public website screening must be completed by volunteer applicant. All associated fees are covered by MFS.
