CAMPS AND SEASONAL PROGRAMMING
NAYA Youth Services offers seasonal programs and camps focused on academic and cultural enrichment. Seasonal programs include Summer Ascend, a high school credit recovery program; a 2nd-8th grade summer camp; a 9th Grade Counts summer program; and a spring break camp focusing on math, science, and cultural knowledge. All activities are hands-on and field trip-based.

EDUCATIONAL YOUTH ADVOCACY AND ENGAGEMENT
Advocates work with students and their families to create measurable goals based on the 4 quadrants of the Relational Worldview Model: Mind, Body, Spirit, and Context. The program includes:
-Wraparound case management and advocacy services
-College visitations, life skills workshops, employment skill-building, and scholarship/financial aid workshops
-School-based tutoring and after-school homework support
-Building culturally relevant skills and increasing cultural pride and identity
-Incentives, stipends, summer meals, meals during the school year, after-school snacks, clothing, hygiene items, school supply vouchers, and monetary assistance for participating youth

Eligibility: -Portland Public School District K-12th grade self-identified Native American youth
-Successful Families 2020: K-12th grade self-identified Native American youth enrolled in select schools for Reynolds and David Douglas school districts.
-SUN Youth Advocacy: 5th-10th grade self-identified Native American youth enrolled in select schools for Portland Public, Reynolds, Parkrose, Centennial, David Douglas and Gresham-Barlow districts.

Region 3: 5th-10th grade any race/ethnicity enrolled in the following schools: Alice Ott Middle, Cherry Park Elementary, Gilbert Heights Elementary, Gilbert Park Elementary, Parkrose High, Parkrose Middle, Prescott Elementary, Sacramento Elementary, and Shaver Elementary
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, some evening hours for events
