Eligibility:
Serves children ages 5-12 years of any gender who meet the
following criteria:
-The child is experiencing serious, long-term emotional and/or behavioral problems and there is a recent mental health assessment documenting the presence of a treatable mental health diagnosis
-The problems are interfering with the child's ability to function at home, school, or in the community; the child's educational needs are not being met in the existing classrooms provided by the local school district
-There is a level of need determination that documents the need and eligibility for the intensive array at the Day Treatment level of care or higher
-Less restrictive interventions have been tried and proven unsuccessful (eg, outpatient mental health services, ICTS)
-The structure and intensity of day treatment services are deemed necessary and can reasonably be expected to successfully meet the child's needs
-The child's parent/guardian demonstrates commitment and willingness to participate in treatment and can maintain the child at home or in foster care while the child is in the program
-Parents/guardians live in Jackson/Josephine County that is close enough to the program to be realistic for them to be able to participate in treatment and for the child's bus ride to the program to be of reasonable duration
