OAK BRIDGE YOUTH SHELTER
Oak Bridge Youth Shelter serves youth who are homeless, who have run away, who are victims of sex trafficking, or those at risk of homelessness or other harm. Family reconciliation is emphasized when appropriate, or work to help youth find alternative safe placements when necessary. Length of stay varies, but can go up to 45 days. Crisis intervention, information and referral services, and case management are also available.
Eligibility: Ages 9-17. Youth may call for services or be placed by DSHS or law enforcement. Referrals may also come from schools, DSHS, hospitals, detention, probation, law enforcement, or anyone else concerned with a youth's safety.

LINES FOR LIFE
YOUTHLINE
Confidential crisis, counseling, and referral line for youth and their families who are dealing with issues ranging from a bad test grade, running away from home, homelessness, or a recent breakup to such topics as depression, anxiety, bullying, pregnancy, self-harm, or substance use disorder.

The YouthLine is staffed by volunteers ages 15-18 who are supervised at all times by an adult. Volunteers from different high schools across the Portland Metro area complete 30 hours of crisis line training to develop peer helping skills and learn about substance use disorder and available treatment.

STATION 7 SHELTER AND CRISIS LINE
Provides youth crisis intervention services and a temporary youth shelter.

Crisis program services include immediate crisis intervention and counseling, youth and family assessments, and referral assistance.

Shelter services offer short-term overnight stays, group counseling, and individual case management. Runaways, homeless youth, and families with youth in crisis use the shelter for a temporary time-out while a long-term plan is developed.

NATIONAL RUNAWAY SAFELINE
Provides anonymous and confidential crisis intervention, information and referral, message delivery, and conference services for homeless and runaway youth. Free bus rides home to qualified youth up to age 21 via Greyhound's Home Free Program.

Also provides crisis intervention and support to parents and guardians of at-risk youth.

TXT 4 HELP
TXT 4 HELP is a confidential text-for-support service for youth in crisis. TXT 4 HELP can be used for the same reason a young person may go to a Safe Place site: abuse, bullying, family problems, depression, and/or suicidal thoughts. TXT 4 HELP counselors provide support via text message, and can offer additional suggestions for immediate help regardless of where someone is located.

Also operates a 24/7 crisis line and offers case management, family mediation and reunification, crisis intervention and short-term emergency housing, basic needs and transportation, client assistance, resource referral and navigation (including access to alternative education options, LGBTQ-specific programs, and wraparound services for gang-impacted and sex-trafficked youth).
