The ARK Project is a Coos Bay School District school-based program that provides basic needs, essential support services, crisis intervention and advocacy. Services include: drop in center, food pantry, children's clothing, school supplies, personal grooming supplies, feminine hygiene supplies, mentoring, information and referrals for other assistance agencies, and assistance in applying for ID forms.

Provides recycled clothing for all ages as available, including clothes appropriate for jobs, interviews, and school. Clients may schedule one appointment per month. Resource (foster) parents can come anytime during office hours to get clothes for a child placed in their care in an emergency.

The Family Resource Center has an items exchange program that attempts to connect people with furniture and appliances to donate with those in need. Small items like bedding, towels, and basic kitchen items can be brought to the Family Resource Center. Items must be clean, chip-free, and in usable condition. The Family Resource Center does not accept clothing larger than children’s sizes, decorative items, or knick-knacks.

Services available may include, but are not limited to: bicycles, breakfast/lunch bags, bus passes, clothing closets (adults and children), community meals, counseling services, diapers, haircuts, housecleaning services, H.U.G.S. (hats, umbrellas, gloves, scarves & socks), kitchen supplies, laundry service, bedding/linens, personal grooming supplies/toiletries, over-the-counter medications, personal care kits, physical therapy, showers, water bill assistance, yard work, and firewood. All services go through the Love INC Clearinghouse. After meeting with a specialist, the client will be issued vouchers to receive appropriate services from local partners. Assistance is determined on an individual basis and is not guaranteed.

Individualized support for parents facing a temporary disruption in income, resources, governmental assistance, etc. by providing material goods, such as diapers, formula, clothing, household goods, and items/equipment which removes or reduces barriers/access to other services.

Provides a thrift store with books, toys, household items, new hygiene products, knick-knacks, and clothing including interview or work-appropriate attire. Offers volunteer work experience and credit recovery for students working at the store. Also accepts donations of new and gently used items.

Provides maternity clothing and supplies for pregnant women and nursing mothers. Also provides baby clothing, baby blankets, sleepers, toys and children's books, as well as emergency supplies of diapers, formula, and baby food.

Availability of diapers, formula, and other supplies is dependent on donations received. Clients should call first to determine if sizes/types of items needed are available. Parents are encouraged to become a client (which is free) and allows access to more services. Diapers and formula are available for emergency needs only and not provided on an ongoing basis.

The bag includes clothing with sizing for all body types, options for ethnic hair care products, and LBGTQ2s+ sensitive order options. Offers a six-week program supporting youth aging out of foster care with workshops providing financial literacy, resume, interview preparation, and assistance with removing barriers that may hinder success and self-sufficiency.
