Child Care Referral Specialists offer specialized information about child care and referrals to child care providers and preschools. Specialists can also provide detailed information on Employment-Related Day Care (ERDC).

This program is designed to help families make informed decisions about child care including referral listings of child care providers. Referrals are not recommendations and do not relate to quality of child care. The responsibility of exploring and determining the best child care provider is solely upon families seeking child care. Services are provided for diverse families, including full- and half-day early learning programs for young children and early intervention services for families who have children with special needs. The Child and Family Studies Program is a lab school where Clark College Early Childhood Education students have the opportunity to put theory into practice in working with children and families.

Early Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of infants and toddlers by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families, including developmental screenings. Services for parents include home visits, parenting classes, parent support and networking.

Provides a food pantry, a clothing closet for children, public computers, and, information and referral. Head Start and child care are also provided.

Provides education and child care services for children. Service options include full and part time care, and full day ECEAP Preschool. The Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a comprehensive preschool program that provides free services and support to eligible children and their families.

Provides affordable child care to all families. Helps children develop personal self-control, independence, and the ability to make choices. Specially selected activities develop social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills. Strongly encourages and welcomes parent involvement. Preschool, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and Head Start available.

This program provides all day child care as well as before and after school and summer care. Staff provide developmentally appropriate lessons and activities, and homework help. Activities include, but are not limited to, art, crafts, free play, computers, cooking, and many indoor and outdoor opportunities for gross motor and active play. The classroom also has a focus on weekly theme. Transportation is provided by the public school before and after school.

Woodland Community Child Center (WCC) is a state-licensed before and after school program offering a caring and nurturing environment for all students. Also offers a summer program.

Program offers early childhood education for children from the broader community, accepts DCYF subsidies, as well as offer need-based discounts to help keep early childhood education affordable for all families. Also believes in children’s innate curiosity and desire to learn while using an emergent curriculum that encourages children to ask questions and think critically. Places a strong focus on social and emotional growth, including building empathy, perspective-taking, and conflict resolution skills.

Provides licensed childcare to promote learning, social skill development, and school readiness. Half-day or full-day care, one to five days per week. Drop-in care when space allows. Provides lunch and two snacks per day.
