READY TO RENT
Provides a 4-6-week course that covers key information for being a responsible and stable tenant. Participants work closely with housing specialists and peers to address the following:
-Overcoming barriers to rental housing
-Learning about your responsibilities as a tenant
-Understanding your lease/rental agreement
-Learning about landlord/tenant law
-Taking steps towards repairing credit and establishing a budget
-Getting referrals to landlords who consider Ready to Rent graduates
Upon completion, participants receive a certificate that can be presented to landlords when applying for housing.

Eligibility: For people with poor or no credit, past evictions, no rental history, criminal history, and/or other screening barriers to rental housing and who are low-income, at risk of homelessness, or currently homeless.
