SPRINGFIELD HOME OWNERSHIP PROGRAM (SHOP)
Provides a home ownership program to assist low- and moderate-income residents with the first-time purchase of a home. The city can loan up to $25,000 toward the down payment and related costs of buying a qualified home. The loan is interest-free, and repayment is generally not required until the home is sold, refinanced, or transferred.

Eligibility: -Be a first-time home buyer or have not owned a home in the past three years
-Meet income requirements
-Be prequalified for a home loan
-Successfully completed the Homebuying Foundations class through DevNW
-Contribute a minimum of 50% of the minimum down payment required by the Primary Lender
