Eligibility:
Families currently living in substandard housing who meet all of
the following requirements:
-Total annual income of 40%-65% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for Yamhill County
-Can commit to 250-500 hours of sweat equity in construction working alongside volunteers
-United States citizens or permanent residents with one year of residency or work in the service area
-Have not had a bankruptcy in at least 4 years
-A decent credit history and criminal background check. Emphasis is on most recent history and is evaluated based on individual circumstances (e.g., no minimum credit score).

INTAKE PROCEDURE:
Call for information and to be added to the contact list, or
complete an interest form online. Applications are only available
during select times of the year, based on the availability of
homes. Visit website for more information about program
participation.
This is a long-term housing solution requiring months, sometimes years.

FEES:
No application fee. 30% of gross income is used to make monthly
house payments; interest-free mortgage. Approximately $4,000
required at time of closing. Program assists applicants in
developing a savings strategy to meet these costs.
DOCUMENTS:
At time of application: Minimum 2 months of utility bills,
income/paystubs, etc. Original ID documents, latest income tax
return, debts, legal, and other documents as needed. Visit website
