TRAUMA INTERVENTION PROGRAM NW
Trained and screened citizen volunteers provide emotional and practical support to people involved in traumatic events and their families in the first few hours following a tragedy. Completes follow-up call and information and referral to other resources. The volunteers are called to crisis scenes by police officers, firefighters, and hospital emergency room personnel.
