Provides referrals to local Lions Clubs, which assist people in need of eye exams, hearing screenings, eyeglasses, and hearing aids. Refers people for corneal transplants, sponsors candidates for seeing eye dogs, and promotes information on eye banks and diabetes. Assistance depends on eligibility and funds available at each local club.

Eligibility: Income must be no greater than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Must have had permanent Oregon residency for at least two years. Individual clubs may have other specific guidelines; eligibility is determined by individual clubs.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Fill out Get Help Form online. Submissions are reviewed several times per week by volunteers and forwarded to a local Lions Club based on the applicant’s zip code.
