UTILITY ASSISTANCE
Provides assistance with electric, gas, garbage, water, and heating fuel (oil, propane, firewood, and pellets). Payments are made directly to the energy company.

Also assists with air conditioners (AC) in the summer months for those who qualify. Assistance is dependent on current availability of funds and eligibility.

-Household is 60% or below the Oregon Area Median Income (AMI)

Air Conditioners:
-Age 65 and older
-Household is 60% or below the Oregon Area Median Income (AMI)
-Have not received a portable AC unit from Community Action in the last 2 years
Hours: Phone: Monday-Friday 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm, closed national holidays

-Mail-out applications available for older adults, people with disabilities who are homebound, and those without computer/internet access

DOCUMENTS: Energy assistance: Copy of utility bill, income verification for all household members, date of birth for all household members, and Social Security number for all household members (if available)
Air Conditioners: Identification and income for all adults in the household 18 years or older
LANGUAGES: English, Spanish, Arabic interpretation by arrangement. Online form available in English and Spanish.

Water assistance: Cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro, and Tualatin Valley Water District
Garbage assistance: Beaverton or unincorporated Washington County
