IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION FORMS - FEE WAIVER/REDUCTION INFORMATION
USCIS has established a filing fee waiver process for certain forms and benefit types for applicants that clearly demonstrate inability to pay the fees. There is also a fee reduction option for Form I-912. Those receiving public benefits such as TANF, SSI, LINK, SNAP or Medicaid and whose families earn less than 150% of the federal poverty level may be eligible for fee waivers

Eligibility: The form you are filing is eligible for a fee waiver (See website for a complete list of eligible forms), AND the applicant qualifies based upon one of the following criteria:
- Applicant, spouse, or the head of household living with you currently receives a means-tested benefit.

- Household income is at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines when filing. Check this year's current Federal Poverty Guidelines at Form I-912P, HHS Poverty Guidelines for Fee Waiver Requests.
- Applicant is experiencing financial hardship that prevents them from paying the filing fee, including unexpected medical bills or emergencies.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call, email, or visit website for more information. If the Fee Waiver Request is denied, the main application is also denied and needs to be re-submitted with the proper filing fee.
