WILDLIFE CARE CENTER
Treats wild animals for release back into the wild and responds to wildlife related questions. The facility includes a full wildlife veterinary and rehabilitation service, a wildlife diagnostics laboratory, indoor and outdoor flight cages, and housing for eight non-releasable educational birds and one non-releasable educational turtle. The care center is operated by three staff, including a wildlife veterinarian, and more than 100 volunteers.

Wildlife field services and wildlife rescue
Wildlife information, advice and consultation
Live educational bird programs (on and off site)

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call the injured wildlife hotline to report sick, orphaned or injured native species. The Wildlife Care Center does not accept non-native, exotic or domestic animals for rehabilitation. Does not accept after hours drop-offs of sick or injured wildlife.

SITE HOURS: Nature Sanctuary: daily from dawn to dusk

TRAVEL/LOCATION INFORMATION: Public transit does not run directly to Portland Audubon, but you can take TriMet's #15 bus to 23rd/Lovejoy and walk 1.5 miles west on Lovejoy, which turns into Cornell.
