Offers an Android smartphone with unlimited text messages and limited voice minutes and data for eligible customers. Limit of one Lifeline discounted service per household. Customers can call 211 for free from their Assurance Wireless phone without using their minutes.

Eligibility: Eligibility varies by state. You may qualify if you are enrolled in any of the following programs: SNAP/food stamps, Social Security/Social Security Disability (SSI/SSDI), TANF, Medicaid, free/reduced lunch program, Veterans Pension benefits or Survivors Pension benefits, Section 8, etc. Households with income no higher than 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines may also qualify.
Hours: On Friday, April 1, 2022, Assurance Wireless will stop providing free Lifeline wireless service in Oregon. If you are an existing customer and have not been de-enrolled for any reason, you will continue to receive 1,400 minutes, unlimited texts, and 4.5 GB of data for free from the Lifeline program through March 31, 2022.
