HOME REPAIR AND ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES
Provides two home repair and accessibility programs: Housing Rehabilitation/Home Repairs: Offers low-interest (3%) deferred-payment loans for home repairs up to $35,000. Home Access Grants: Provides grants for disabled accessibility improvements up to $7,500. Improvements can include wheelchair ramps, handrails, widened doorways, bathrooms (raised toilets, grab bars), and kitchen accessibility improvements. This grant does not include home repairs.

Eligibility: Income below 80% of area median income as established by HUD for loans and grants. There is no asset limit; however, income from assets is counted as income.

Housing Rehabilitation/Home Repairs: Must be owner-occupied dwelling. Mobile homes in parks do not qualify.

Home Access Grants: Homeowners, owners and renters of manufactured homes, and renters of apartments owned by the housing authority

FEES: Housing Rehabilitation/Home Repairs: No monthly payments. The loan is repaid when the home is sold or refinanced, the title is transferred, or the owner no longer occupies the home. A fee for the title insurance policy is added to the loan.
