LITERACY COUNCIL FOR JOSEPHINE COUNTY
ADULT BASIC EDUCATION
Provides one-on-one tutoring. Students learn to read, write, learn English as a second language, improve basic math skills, and prepare for the citizenship test. Assists to improve job skills, pass the written driver's exam, fill out job applications and other forms, read medicine labels and signs, and learn to use a computer in an educational capacity. Offers a specialized program designed to help those with the learning disability dyslexia learn to read, write, and spell. Also helps students qualify for enrollment at Rogue Community College (RCC) and assists them in preparing for their GED in language arts, math, science, and social studies.
