Eligibility:
60% of Oregon median income (OMI)
-Household of 1, maximum of $2,605.50 per month or $31,266 per year
-Household of 2, maximum of $3,407.17 per month or $40,866 per year
-Household of 3, maximum of $4,208.83 per month or $50,506 per year
-Household of 4, maximum of $5,010.50 per month or $60,126 per year
-Household of 5, maximum of $5,812.12 per month or $69,747 per year

-Assistance may be available depending on the program and agency funds if household income is higher than what is listed.
-Trash/water payment assistance is available for individuals 60 years and older and adults or households containing an individual with disabilities.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Office is closed to observe these holidays; New Years, MLK Jr's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Following Friday, Christmas, and New Years.

COVID-19 INFORMATION:
Due to COVID-19, funds may be available for individuals impacted by
COVID-19. Applicants encouraged to document impact on application
or notify Energy staff (ex: job loss, got sick, medically fragile,
etc.)
INTAKE PROCEDURE:
-Call to have an application mailed or emailed. Energy office will
let you know if not available due to capacity.
-Phone lines are expected to be busy, calls are answered in the order they are received; once in queue, do not hang up. Due to high call volume, callers may receive busy tone, continue calling until placed in the queue.
-Fully completed and signed applications with the disclaimer to be signed by utility account holder.
-Return application to the Energy office, by mail or email. Only complete applications wil be accepted.

-Birth dates for all household members
-Photo or other ID for all household members 18 and older
-Recent electric, heating, and water bills
-Proof of gross income received previous 2 months prior to date application received for all household members such as pay stubs, self-employment records, public assistance , current Social Security benefit letters, veterans benefits, work study documents, child support documents, adoption assistance, disability benefits, or pensions. Other documents may be accepted dependent upon agency approval.
-Household members 18 and older with zero income required to complete a declaration of zero income available in office or on the website.

45th is between Market Street/Swegle Road and Sunnyview Road. Turn
onto 45th Avenue and turn into the East Salem Community Center's
driveway. Turn right. Enter double doors, Energy Assistance is
located in Suite 101. Cherriots nearest routes run on Market/Swegle
and Sunnyview. No direct route on 45th.
