Provides electric, gas, heating fuel, and water payment assistance to qualifying households. The goal of the program is to support historically underserved populations to reduce service disconnections and provide home heating assistance. Bilingual/bi-cultural staff specialize in serving Hispanic/Latino community members.

Connects people in need with local churches and service agencies. Basic goods and services are offered to clients as they are donated. Services available may include, but are not limited to: bicycles, breakfast/lunch bags, bus passes, clothing closets (adults and children), community meals, counseling services, diapers, haircuts, housecleaning services, H.U.G.S. (hats, umbrellas, gloves, scarves & socks), kitchen supplies, laundry service, bedding/linens, personal grooming supplies/toiletries, over-the-counter medications, personal care kits, physical therapy, showers, water bill assistance, yard work, and firewood. All services go through the Love INC Clearinghouse. After meeting with a specialist, the client will be issued vouchers to receive appropriate services from local partners. The Neighborhood Center provides the reconnect fee of $40 after water has been disconnected. That is the only assistance provided for water bills. Also provides low-income families with a one-time per year emergency assistance on their electricity bill if they have a shut-off notice. If the bill is under $200, the household must make a good faith payment first and pay a third of the amount owed. The center will pay the other two-thirds of the amount due to avoid shut off of service. If the bill is over $200, the Neighborhood Center will help with a one-time emergency assistance of $200 and the household will be responsible for paying whatever the balance is minus the $200 first. Eligible households may be assisted if funds are available.

Eligibility: Accepting calls for applicants whose utility service is disconnected and who have already contacted the utility company for a payment plan.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-12:30pm. Closed most major holidays and Good Friday. If holiday falls on Saturday then closed preceding Friday. If holidays falls on Sunday, then closed following Monday. Christmas Eve is half-day holiday (closes at noon)
