WellRide services are a covered Medicaid benefit for non-emergency medical transportation. Transportation can be scheduled to and from covered medical appointments including primary care visits, specialist office visits, physical therapy, dental care visits, mental health services, and dialysis. Services include bus fare, pre-approved mileage reimbursement, wheelchair lift/ramp van, taxi cab, stretcher car for those who need to be transported lying down, and secured transport for those in mental health crisis. If needed, personal care attendants can also ride at no cost. Transportation services are intended to help when no other options are available.
