-Household income must not exceed the area median income percentage for your household size.
-At least one person in household must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
-Household size must meet occupancy guidelines. One bedroom is allowed for head of household and co-head/spouse and one bedroom is allowed for every two people after that, regardless of age or gender.
-Applicants can apply for all waitlists they qualify for, regardless of whether they have applied during previous openings.

Priority status granted to:
-Individuals who have a terminal illness and have been diagnosed by a medical provider with a life expectancy of 12 months or less.
-Individuals who have a disability that requires housing with access features such as wheelchair accommodation, and individuals eligible for in-home Medicaid services who require assistance with meals, bathing, laundry, and housekeeping to stop or delay premature entry into a nursing facility or adult foster care.

LINN BENTON HOUSING AUTHORITY
Linn-Benton Housing Authority is a regional public agency created by Linn and Benton Counties to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low-income residents. The Housing Authority undertakes activities necessary to accomplish this public purpose, including acquiring and managing properties, developing housing, issuing tax-exempt bonds, entering into mortgages and partnerships, borrowing money, and accepting grants.

MARION COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY
Marion County Housing Authority (MCHA), under contract with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), administers the Section 8 Voucher Program and several other rental assistance programs. MCHA also owns and manages several affordable apartment complexes for seniors, families, and farm laborers. Serves the rural areas of Marion County, which are outside the Urban Growth Boundary of the City of Salem. No assistance is available for Salem/Keizer residents.
