EDUCATIONAL YOUTH ADVOCACY AND ENGAGEMENT

Advocates work with students and their families to create measurable goals based on the 4 quadrants of the Relational Worldview Model: Mind, Body, Spirit, and Context. The program includes:
-Wraparound case management and advocacy services
-College visitations, life skills workshops, employment skill-building, and scholarship/financial aid workshops
-School-based tutoring and after-school homework support
-Building culturally relevant skills and increasing cultural pride and identity
-Incentives, stipends, summer meals, meals during the school year, after-school snacks, clothing, hygiene items, school supply vouchers, and monetary assistance for participating youth

Partners help young people establish and work toward short and long term goals, provide support in navigating youth-serving systems, and ensure that the young adult's voice is the driving force of their support plan. The wraparound planning process is based on collaborative work between the young adult, their family members, their natural supports, and local service providers.
