Youth shelter providing temporary emergency shelter for up to 120 days with written parent/guardian consent or 72 hours without written consent. Services for sheltered and unsheltered youth include case management, mentoring, housing search assistance, and counseling services. Bathing facilities, school supplies, laundry facilities, a clothing closet, and personal grooming supplies are also provided.

MCKINNEY-VENTO HOMELESS EDUCATION ASSISTANCE
The Education of Homeless Children and Youth Program, authorized as Title X under the No Child Left Behind Act, ensures that homeless students are provided a free, appropriate public education despite lack of fixed place of residence or a supervising parent or guardian. An advocate is available to access resources and to ensure the student's education is not impacted in a major way.

Assistance for qualifying households may include:
-Assistance with academic fees
-Feasible transportation to school of origin (school attended when student qualified for Title X)
-Free meals at school
-School clothes and supplies
-Referrals to health and dental care
-Referrals to rental and housing assistance

-Are living in a public place not designed for sleeping (cars, parks)
-Are unaccompanied (not living with a parent or guardian)
-Are awaiting foster care placement
-Were abandoned in a hospital
