The Clark County Property Tax Exemption for Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons program can help pay for property taxes. Under the exemption program, the residence’s assessed value is frozen and they are exempt from excess and special levies resulting in a reduction in their property taxes.

- At least 61 years old, OR deemed disabled by Social Security OR have an 80% military service-connected evaluation rating in the assessment year you are applying
-Own and occupy the home as your principal residence by December 31
-Annual combined disposable income may not exceed $50,348

PROPERTY TAX DEFERRAL SENIOR CITIZENS/DISABLED PERSONS
The Clark County Assessor's Office offers property tax deferral programs for homeowners with disabilities or who are older adults. If found eligible, the Washington State Department of Revenue pays the property taxes on behalf of the owner and the deferred amount, plus interest, becomes a lien in favor of the state until the total amount is repaid.

Eligibility: -60 years of age by December 31 of the filing year or unable to work due to disability
-Owner/occupier of the home as your principal place of residence for more than 6 months each year
-Annual combined disposable income may not exceed $58,094
-Must keep in force a fire and casualty insurance policy in an amount large enough to protect the interest of the State of Washington
