Provides hearing dogs trained to alert people to household sounds necessary for everyday safety and independence. Dogs are trained to make physical contact and lead their person to the source of the sound.

Eligibility: Individuals age 18 and older with hearing loss. Level of hearing loss will be reviewed by the Placement Screening Committee, a panel of audiologists and related professionals. There is no exact degree of loss that can be given as the minimum for qualification due to the many aspects of hearing loss.
