Eligibility:
TANF is for families that:
- live in Oregon
-have low income and very few assets
-are either age 18 years old or younger and head of their household, or pregnant, or have a child who is age 18 years or younger
The applicant must be a US Citizen or a qualified non-citizen. Parents without US Citizenship can apply for benefits for children who are US Citizens.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:
Applicants can apply online, contact a local office, or print and
fill out the application. The printed application can be faxed,
mailed, dropped off at a local office, or emailed to
[email protected].

DOCUMENTS:
Proof of ID, proof of income, Social Security Numbers (SSN) for all
members of the family who want benefits, proof of immigration
status (if applicable). If you are applying for someone else and
not for yourself, you do not need to bring proof of immigration
status or SSN for yourself. If you are facing challenges obtaining
proof of income or other documents a worker can work with you to
obtain income verification and other needed information.
