WILDFIRE DAMAGE HOUSING RELIEF ACCOUNT (WDHRA)
Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) was directed by the 78th Oregon Legislative Assembly to develop, implement, and administer the Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account Program to assist low-income households that have suffered a loss of housing due to a wildfire.

Assistance with damages may not exceed $7000 per household. Applications will be accepted until all Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account funds are spent.

Eligibility: Homeowners may be eligible for financial assistance if the following conditions are met:
-The loss or damage to housing must be due to a wildfire as defined by ORS 477.089
-The applicant must be an Oregon resident at the time of the loss or damage to housing
-Previous year's annual income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
-The loss or damage to housing must have occurred in Oregon on or after July 1, 2017
-The home lost or damaged due to wildfire must be the household's primary residence
-The household must own the home that is lost or damaged due to wildfire
-The home that is lost or damaged due to wildfire may be a stick-built home, a site-built home, or a recreational vehicle that is the primary residence of the applicant
-The home damaged by the wildfire is considered uninhabitable unless repaired or replaced
-The household must apply for grant funds within 180 days of the loss of the home

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Download application from website. Email or mail completed application. Interested homeowners may also contact their local Community Action Agency for assistance applying.

OHCS will notify applicants if the application is incomplete within 10 days and will process complete applications and payments to homeowners within 30 days.
