EARLY HEAD START
Early Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children by providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and families. Services for parents include home visits, parenting classes, and parent support and networking. Offers home-based services, which consist of weekly home visits and twice-monthly parent groups.

Eligibility: Pregnant individuals and families with infants and children ages 0-3. Families with incomes at or below 100% FPL are eligible. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SNAP or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)) are eligible regardless of income. Families with higher incomes and specific needs, may also be eligible. Families with higher needs are prioritized.

DOCUMENTS: -Copy of child's birth certificate and/or proof of pregnancy
-Proof of last year's income (for all parents/guardians in the home), proof of current year's income (for all parents/guardians in the home), and/or copy of a pay stub, a letter from an employer, or a letter from DHS or unemployment with verification of job training, health insurance card, if the family has health insurance (insurance is not required to apply)
