EARLY CHILDHOOD NURSING
The Early Childhood Nursing (ECN) program provides free home visiting services. Visits are conducted by public health nurses with the goal of promoting physical, social, and emotional health. Visits are voluntary and ongoing to meet the family’s needs.
Services include: Education about pregnancy, parenting, nutrition, safety, and child development.
Medical guidance on accessing the health care system and understanding health conditions.
Provides local resources, such as WIC, immunizations, health care, early intervention, therapies, insurance assistance, DHS services (examples: self-sufficiency and developmental disabilities), and more. Screenings and assessments for pregnant/postpartum women and children.
