CITY OF BEAVERTON
CENTER FOR MEDIATION AND DIALOGUE
Provides confidential mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution education. Types of mediation include:

-Community Mediation: Conflicts involving noise, fences, parking, vandalism, animal complaints, property damage or maintenance, harassment, minor assaults, and conflicts over money and personal property.

-Foreclosure Avoidance Mediation: Utilizes specially trained facilitators to conduct face-to-face resolution conferences between borrowers and lenders to avoid home foreclosure.
-Housing Mediation: For tenants, landlords/housing providers wishing to discuss issues related to rent, repairs, communication, or any other issues or concerns related to the living arrangement.

-Manufactured Home (MFH) Mediation: Assists homeowners, residents, managers, and park owners to resolve conflicts associated with the parks and living situations.

-Home Sharing Mediation: Connects homeless high school students who are committed to graduating from high school with people willing to share their homes. Mediators facilitate rental contracts and a house rules discussion to provide a space for open communication and mutual expectation setting before move-in. Mediators check in with the parties after a few months to continue promoting open communication, contract modifications, and conflict resolution strategies as needed.

-Restorative Dialogue: Offers trained facilitators to help juvenile offenders and crime victims meet face-to-face. The dialogue is an opportunity to discuss the impacts of the harm, meaningful accountability, and make agreements to repair the harm.

Takes most cases, with the exceptions of parenting plan/divorce cases, or court-ordered small claims, which are handled through Washington County.
