Provides employment training for individuals ages 55 and older. Provides training assignments to develop current employment skills, job readiness classes, resume/cover letter education, and individual employment plans.

Eligibility: Must be 55+, unemployed, and income for the last 6 months must be below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. Social Security benefits and some other incomes do not count towards income. Priority given to veterans, spouses of veterans, homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless, and people with disabilities.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Complete application. Waiting list maintained by county of residence and as positions open, applicants will be called to complete paperwork. Completion of eligibility paperwork does not guarantee enrollment into the SCSEP program.
