YOUTH OPPORTUNITY CENTER
BRIDGE 13 COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Provides an LGBTQQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) cultural competency training. The program uses an interactive curriculum that addresses appropriate terminology, risk and protective factors for LGBTQQ youth, new ways of conceptualizing traditional ideas about gender and sexuality, and skills for interrupting bullying and problematic language. Participants will leave with a variety of concrete tools and resources to create safe, supportive environments for all young people and will gain competency around the entire LGBTQQ population.
