FRIENDSHIP LINE
Provides a crisis intervention hotline and warmline for non-emergency emotional support to improve the quality of life and connectedness of isolated callers. All calls are confidential.

Friendship Line staff and trained volunteers can also make outbound phone calls to those who request them for emotional support, reassurance, well-being check-ins, and/or crisis intervention.

A Friendship Line client can receive up to 7 calls per week, with each call lasting approximately 10 minutes. Staff work with clients to determine the number of call-outs based on their needs.

Eligibility: Age 60 and older, adults with a caregiver, and adults with a physical, intellectual, or developmental disability
Hours: Crisis Intervention hotline: 24 hours per day / 7 days per week

Warmline: 7am-9pm 7 days per week

Scheduled call-outs are made from 8am-8pm 365 days per year.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Crisis Intervention hotline: Call for information
Scheduled call-outs: Call for intake and to provide basic demographic information or fill out an intake form online. Staff will respond to set up a daily/weekly schedule and start calls.
