CHILDREN'S RELIEF NURSERY
Relief nurseries serve families with young children who are most at risk of abuse and neglect. They provide high-risk families with intensive support through individualized case management.

LifeWorks NW provides wraparound services to high-risk families. Services include early childhood intervention and social, emotional, and family support. Also provides mental health services and trauma assessments, traumatic stress expertise, home visitations, parent/infant and parent/toddler classes, art and music therapy, respite child care, and weekly parenting classes using the "Making Parenting a Pleasure" curriculum. Parents/children must be enrolled to receive most services.

Eligibility: Caregivers with children ages 0-5 and women in their 3rd trimester of pregnancy

Serves high-risk families. "High-risk" typically means experiencing several of the following factors: poverty, high stress, depression, history of mental illness, lack of reliable transportation, single-parent households, criminal history, adult survivors of child abuse, drug and alcohol history, unemployment, low self-esteem, limited education, anger issues, homelessness, or social isolation.
