The Oregon State Department of Human Services (ODHS) Office of Child Welfare oversees the state system of county Child Welfare offices that focus on the right of every Oregon child to grow up in a safe, permanent, and nurturing family home. Child Welfare includes adoption services, child abuse and neglect investigation and intervention (Child Protective Services), child care assistance (Employment Related Day Care), foster care, Indian Child Welfare, Independent Living Program for foster youth, and prevention services.
