SNAP REPLACEMENT BENEFITS
Replace SNAP benefits for lost food purchased with SNAP benefits due to storms, flooding, power outages, fires,electronic theft, benefits stolen or other misfortunes. It does not have to be a statewide emergency. ODHS will verify severity of event, and loss.

Eligibility: Households who receive SNAP who lost or disposed of food that was unsafe to eat due to storms, flooding, power outages or fires can request that replacement benefits be issued for the cost of the food lost.
Once approved, replacement benefits are issued to current recipients using their existing EBT card.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: If lost food purchased with SNAP benefits due to storms, flooding, power outages or fire:
Replacement benefits must be requested within 10 calendar days of the food loss.

If callers reports being victims of electronic theft and had benefits stolen from the EBT card:
Encourage callers to cancel the card immediately by calling the EBT customer service line and to contact ODHS to replace the benefits within 30 days.
