SPECIAL EDUCATION
Special education services are provided through the following programs:

-Life Enrichment Education Program (LEEP): Provides instruction for eligible students in self-contained classrooms located as close to the students' homes as possible.
- Therapeutic Schools: Classrooms located outside the public school system that are designed to assist students and their families in developing behavioral and academic skills.
- Heron Creek and Heron Creek Academy: Serve students with social emotional needs and provide long-term care and treatment for students with behavioral health needs.

Eligibility: Special education programs provide instruction to students in grades K-12, ages 5-21. Referral and placement decisions are based on recommendations by the IEP team, which includes the child's family.
