CLACKAMAS COUNTY RESOLUTION SERVICES
PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAM
Provides court-approved parent education classes that teaches parents about children's development and how it relates to divorce, the emotional impact of divorce or separation, developmental stages of children, and expected reactions to divorce. Also teaches skills that parents can use to minimize stress and help children cope, guidelines for reducing conflicts and solving custody issues out of court, and recognizing when a child needs help and where to find resources. All participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion. Child care not provided.

Eligibility: Families with children ages 0-18 who are separating, divorcing, or filing for custody changes and other modifications. This course may fulfill a court order to take parenting classes. Parents should check with their parole or probation officer or DHS caseworker to confirm.
Hours: Office: Monday-Thursday 8am-5:30pm, excluding holidays
Class is held 3 times a month on Wednesdays 5:30pm-9pm

COVID-19 INFORMATION: Due to Covid-19, all classes are virtual
INTAKE PROCEDURE: Visit website and complete online registration form. It is recommended to register at least one month in advance.
FEES: $75 per person. Waiver may be available if the court has waived a court filing fee for a pending domestic relations case prior to registering for the class. Online payment available.
