EARLY HEAD START
Early Head Start is a home visiting program that promotes healthy birth outcomes, enhanced child development, and positive parenting skills. Services include home visits, parenting classes, and parent support and networking.

Early Head Start provides 2 options:
-Home-based service, which provides service through weekly home visits. A home visitor provides child-focused visits promoting the parents' ability to support the child's development. Families come together twice per month as a group for learning, discussion, and social activity.
-Center-based service, which is designed for families who have both parents working outside the home, actively seeking employment, in school, or in recovery programs. Children receive 6.25 hours of care and instruction during the work week.

Sites are located in: Myrtle Creek, Green, Winston area, Roseburg, Winchester Elementary, Green Elementary and Sutherlin.

Eligibility: Pregnant individuals and families with infants and children ages 0-3. Families with incomes at or below 100% FPL are eligible. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SNAP or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)) are eligible regardless of income. Families with higher incomes and specific needs, may also be eligible. Families with higher needs are prioritized.
