The Low Income Subsidy for Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage, also known as the Extra Help program, is a prescription assistance program available under Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D). Medicare beneficiaries with limited resources can receive assistance with prescription costs, such as monthly premiums, annual deductibles, and prescription co-payments.

Eligibility: -2-person household: $33,240, -Single-person household: $16,660 (Do NOT count your home, vehicles, personal possessions, life insurance, burial plots, irrevocable burial contracts or back payments from Social Security or SSI.)
